보안을 연구하는 사람에게 칼리 리눅스란 생소한 운영체제는 아니다.

For those who study security, Kali Linux is not an unfamiliar operating system.

 

간단하게 칼리 리눅스에 대해 알아보고 지금 당신이 쓰고 있는 컴퓨터 혹은 노트북에 칼리 리눅스를

설치하는 과정을 알아보자.

Let's take a quick look at Kali Linux and learn how to install Kali Linux on 

your computer or laptop.

 

칼리 리눅스는 모의 침투 테스트 툴들을 모아 놓은 운영체제로, 해킹을 하는데 필요한 툴들과 취약점을

보고하기 위한 레포팅 툴 등이 있다.

Kali Linux is an operating system that puts mock penetration test tools, and includes tools 

for hacking and reporting tools to report vulnerabilities.

 

물론 다른 운영체제에서 칼리 리눅스를 접하지 못하는 건 아니다.

Of course, it's not that you can't use Kali Linux on other operating systems.

 

타 운영체제에서 katoolin을 설치하여 운영해 볼 수는 있으나 패키지 충돌이 일어날 수 있으니

권고하진 않는다.

Katoolin can be installed and operated on other operating systems,

but it is not recommended as it may cause package conflicts.

 

타 운영체제에서 칼리 리눅스를 이용해 보고 싶다면 가상 머신이나 도커를 이용해 보길

조심스럽게 권해본다.

a virtual machine or docker.

칼리 리눅스가 나오기 전 백트랙이라는 이전 버전의 오픈 소스 리눅스가 있다.

Before the release of Kali Linux, there was an older version of open source Linux called Backtrack.

2012년 8월 13일에 출시된 백트랙 5 R3 버전을 마지막으로 백트랙은 지원이 종료되었고 현재는 후속

버전인 칼리 리눅스로 이어져 오고 있다.

Backtrack 5 R3 version, released on August 13, 2012, was finally discontinued,

and is now supported by the next version of KaliLinux.

 

칼리 리눅스는 데비안을 기반으로 기반으로 만들어진 운영체제이며

백트랙은 우분투를 기반으로 했다는 점에서 차이가 있다.

Kali Linux is an operating system based on Debian, and the backtrack is based on Ubuntu.

 

칼리 리눅스는 300개 이상의 테스트 툴을 제공한다. 툴을 전부 다뤄볼 수는 없지만

추후에 metasploit, hydra 등 툴을 같이 다뤄보자.

Kali Linux provides more than 300 test tools.

We can't cover all the tools, but we'll cover tools like metasploit and hydra later.

 

한 가지 알아 둬야 할 것이 있다.

남이 만들어 놓은 툴을 쓰는 것보다 본인이 직접 툴을 만들어 사용해보는 것이 최고의 방법이다.

There is one thing to be aware of.

The best way is to use your own tools rather than using other tools.

 

또한 허가되지 않은 해킹은 범죄라는 점을 인지하고 있어야 한다.

You should also be aware that unauthorized hacking is a crime.
