이전 과정에서 칼리 리눅스 iso 파일을 다운 받아 rufus 파일을 이용해
usb에 부팅파일을 넣는 과정을 다루었다.
In the previous step, We downloaded the Kali Linux iso file and
used the rufus file to put the boot file on the usb.
이번엔 직접 컴퓨터 혹은 노트북에 직접 칼리 리눅스를 설치하는 과정을 다루어보겠다.
This time, I will cover the process of installing Kali Linux directly on a computer or laptop.
시작하기에 앞서 설치할 PC에 유선랜 연결을 해줘야 한다.
A wired LAN connection is required before starting.
처음 컴퓨터를 부팅할 때 Boot Manager모드로 들어간다. 필자의 노트북 제조사는
HP이고 F9키를 이용해서 들어갔다.
The first time you boot your computer, it enters Boot Manager mode.
My laptop manufacturer is HP and I use the F9 key
부트매니저로 USB 부팅을 하면 처음 설치화면이 나온다.
When booting USB with the boot manager, the first installation screen appears.
설치에 사용할 언어를 선택한다. 필자는 한국인이므로 한국어를 선택했다.
Select the language to use for installation. Since I am Korean, I chose Korean.
현재 자신이 위치한 국가를 선택한다.
Choose the country in which you are currently located.
칼리 리눅스에 사용할 키보드 설정을 한다.
Configure the keyboard to use for Kali Linux.
자동 설치 과정은 그냥 사진만 올려놓겠다.
The automated installation process will only upload photos.
호스트 이름을 설정한다. 여기서 설정한 호스트 이름은 "[당신의 이름]@[호스트 이름]" 으로 사용 될 것이다.
Set the hostname. The hostname set here will be used as "[your name]@[hostname]".
도메인 이름을 설정한다. 필자는 도메인 이름을 설정하지 않았다.
Set the domain name. I did not set the domain name.
사용자의 이름을 설정한다.
Set the user's name.
암호를 설정한다.
Set a password.
디스크 파티션을 진행한다. 필자는 컴퓨터 자체에 설치하는 것이라 "디스크 전체 사용"을 선택했다.
Perform disk partitioning. Since I am installing it on the computer itself, I chose "Use entire disk".
두번째 항목 "디스크를 전체 사용하고 LVM 설정"에서 LVM을 간단하게 설명하자면 당신이 쓰고 있는
하드디스크나 SSD를 아예 분할 하는것은 물리적 파티션 분할에 해당하고 하나의 물리적 파티션을
추상적으로 나누는 것을 논리적 파티션 분할이라고 한다.
To briefly explain LVM in the second section, "Use the Disk Fullly and Set LVM",
partitioning the hard disk or SSD you are using corresponds to physical partitioning
and abstract partitioning of one physical partition is called logical partitioning.
분리된 논리적 파티션 각각을 논리적 볼륨이라고 한다. 물리적 볼륨과 논리적 볼륨, PV, PE, VG, LV, LE 등
개념에 대해선 추후에 올리도록 하겠다.
The concept of physical volume and logical volume, PV, PE, VG, LV, LE, etc. will be posted later.
파티션할 디스크를 선택한다. 파티션할 디스크의 내용은 모두 지워지니 반드시 필요한 자료들은 옮겨놓거나
백업을 해놓는다.
Select a disk to partition. All the contents of the disk to be partitioned will be erased, so make sure to move or backup the necessary data.
파티션 구성 설정이다. 굳이 디렉토리를 분리할 필요가 없으니 "모두 한 파티션에 설치"를 선택하겠다.
Partition configuration settings. You don't have to separate the directory,
so I'll choose "Install it all on one partition."
바뀐 사항을 확인하고 "계속"을 클릭한다.
Confirm the changes and click "Continue".
바뀐 점을 디스크에 써주자.
Let's apply the changes to the disk.
프록시를 설정한다.

자신이 원하는 항목을 선택하여 설치할 수 있다.
You can select and install the items you want.
Xfce : 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스와 관련하여 마우스를 사용할 수 있도록 하는 소프트웨어이다.
Xfce : Software that allows you to use the mouse in relation to the graphical user interface.
GNOME : 컴퓨터 운영 체제의 최상위 계층에서 동작하는 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스이다.
GNOME : A graphical user interface running at the top level of the computer operating system.
KDE Plasma : 그래픽 작업 공간 환경이다.
KDE Plasma: A graphical workspace environment.
LXDE : 유닉스와 POSIX 호환 플랫폼(리눅스나 BSD)에서 사용할 수 있는 자유 오픈소스 데스크톱 환경이다.

MATE : 발음 메이트 아니다. 마테가 맞다. 데스크톱의 기본 사용자 인터페이스인 그놈 쉘 대신에,
11.04 이전의 우분투에서 사용했던 그놈 2를 기반으로 만든 마테 데스크톱 환경을
기본 사용자 인터페이스로 사용한다는 것이다.
MATE : Instead of the desktop's default user interface, the GNOME Shell,
it uses a Mate Desktop environment based on GNOME 2 used in Ubuntu prior to
11.04 as the default user interface.
소프트웨어 선택이 완료되면 설치를 이어서 진행한다.
When the software selection is complete, installation continues.
설치를 완료했다. 혹여나 설정하는 과정에서 고쳐야 할 부분이 있다면 "뒤로 가기" 버튼을, 설치를 완료하려면
"계속" 버튼을 클릭한다.
Installation completed. If there is anything that needs to be fixed during the setup process,
click the "Back" button or the "Continue" button to complete the installation.
고쳐야 할 부분이 있다면 단계를 선택하여 수정하자.
If you need to change something, choose a step and change it.
설치가 완료되었으니 아이디와 비밀번호를 치고 로그인해보자.
Now that the installation is complete, enter your ID and password and log in.
설치가 완료되었지만 한글 깨짐 현상이 발생한다. 다음 포스팅에선 한글 깨짐 현상 해결 및
한글 입력 설정을 해보자.
